GOLDEN ACRYLICS HISTORICAL COLOURS 4OZ PRUSSIAN BLUE HUE Golden Historical Colours are "authentic recreations" of colours that have been used for hundreds of years and were considered essential to the palettes of past masters. Because of inconsistencies in the performance of these original pigments, artists expressed a widespread need for a safe, reliable paint that could accurately replicate the qualities and capabilities of the originals. Golden worked closely with art experts and museum curators to determine how these paints performed in classic paintings. Great care has been taken to match both the colours and working properties of the original pigments, while resolving the questionable production practices and improving performance standards.

Prussian Blue, commonly believed to be the first man-made pigment, was accidentally invented in 1704. Formulated under a variety of names, the Milori Blue pigment is typical of today's Prussian Blues. The pigment is alkali sensitive and therefore, cannot be make in an acrylic emulsion.
